Reel collects only what it needs to identify your catch and look up the right regulations. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't need an account to give you a verdict.

On the web, Reel uses your browser's local storage to keep your logbook, language, and onboarding state on this device. Clearing browser data clears this — sign in to back up.
7.Your rights
You can export or delete your logbook at any time from Settings (export coming with the Pro tier). You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below; we'll process it within 30 days.
8.Data retention
Locally-stored data lives until you clear it. Account-synced data is retained until you delete the entry or your account.
9.Children's privacy
Reel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10.Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; please report any vulnerability you find.
11.Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app, with the updated date at the top of this page.
